Before I went to different airbrush tanning salons around town in San Diego, I tried laying out on the beach first. Gawking guys aside, I just got sick of my clothes and car getting sandy. I don't necessarily have time to go to the beach every week to keep up my tan either. I stopped into an airbrush tan salon near my house first, in a little strip mall. I wasn't familiar with what a good price for a tanning session was, so I just paid for a 3 tan package to start. The first time was ok, but after they had my money the staff was kind of unprofessional. I was planning on getting in and out on my third and final tanning visit, but there was a wait. This place only had a couple airbrush tan appliers. It seemed that this salon had trouble keeping employees too. I decided that like Chinese restaurants - trying out airbrush tanning places in a strip mall was really a hit or a miss.
I tried another place that my girlfriend recommended, but it was really pricy and didn't have many options.
